Research programmes in various laboratories of NII are supported by a large number of extra-mural grants. The programmes provide opportunities for students who have a Ph.D. degree to work as Post-doctoral fellows. The positions are advertised on the website of the institute and candidates are selected on the basis of an interview. These projects are temporary in nature and governed as per institute’s norms and terms set by the funding agency. The performance of the fellow is reviewed every year for continuation in the programme.
