Programme Launch

Science Setu was launched at a formal function at NII on 26.03.2015, 3.15 pm. A quiz was organized for undergraduate students just prior to the main function. The winners (Zakir Hussain College) and Runners Up team (Ramjas College) were awarded prizes at the function. Dr K. Vijay Raghvan, FRS and Secretary, DBT was the Chief Guest and spoke on "Why we should stop studying (and have fun learning)". He emphasised that the only path to success was through and hard work and love for whatever one does.

Professor Raghavendra Gadagkar, IISc, Bengaluru and President INSA, was the Guest of Honour and delivered a talk on "Science Education Indisciplined". He urged teachers and students to break boundaries of every kind.

About 300 people including principals, teachers and students from the partner colleges as well as scientists participated in the function.
